Scotland’s largest annual anti-capitalist event just got larger! Red Fest, formerly known as Marxism in Scotland, is relaunching this autumn as a three day political festival.

This is a forum for the left and activists across Scotland to come together and discuss how we respond to the crises affecting working class people and the planet.

This festival is for all who want to see more struggle and resistance, not less, under a Starmer government. After 14 years of Tory rule, we face a right-wing Labour government wanting to show the rich and the powerful the system is safe in their hands.

It is for all who don’t want to stand by while racism grows. From Le Pen in France to Trump in the US, the far-right are on the rise again, and their co-thinkers in Britain want to replicate that here.

It is for all who won’t rest until Palestine is free. Nine months of mass international protest and Palestinian resistance have isolated the racist state of Israel and its backers, but the genocide continues and so must our solidarity.

It is for all who want to fight for real change and genuine liberation – for women, LGBT+ and non-binary people and all who are oppressed under this system.

And it is for all who, in a world of escalating war, runaway climate chaos, attacks on our hard-won rights are asking: how can we build more resistance? Is another world possible, before it’s too late?
